Toffee Making with Catherine Saturday, February 1st 10am-noon

In this class, Catherine will teach you the basics of classic toffee making. If you have tried making toffee without success, or have always wanted to learn how to master the craft, this class is for you! Enjoy sampling several flavors of toffee, and discover how to put your own flair into each batch. Catherine will demonstrate how to decorate some favorite holiday toffee flavors, and help you feel confident about making a batch at home & take home delicious toffee to share with your family... or hide & keep for yourself. We promise not to tell;) About the teacher- When I was young, my favorite part of coming home from school was smelling the wonderful aroma of fresh baked cookies or bread my mother had made. The love of baking was instilled in me at an early age. I enjoyed learning and mastering the art of cookie making, and cakes from scratch. At Christmas time, the smell of fresh toffee my mom made was a highlight. She loved making it for neighbors every Christmas, and years later, I wanted to learn how to make toffee. My Dad had learned and mastered the art, and soon after, he became my greatest toffee mentor. It became a tradition for us to make it together every Christmas. After a few years, my love of toffee became a true passion. I began experimenting with different flavors, and was inspired to start a small business, "Toffee with a twist". It has been one of my greatest joys to continue to make unique flavors for people I love. I am honored to carry on this great legacy of my dear late parents, and I'm immensely grateful for the unfailing support from my family and friends. Thank you for being here, and for loving toffee!
